Mystery Readers!

Today was a special day for us at Goddard School–Brandon and I got to be Mystery Readers for Brian’s class!  Different parents took turns reading some of their child’s favorites for the class this week.  Brian was pretty surprised when it was our turn!  We brought in two of his favorites, Punk Farm and Punk Farm on Tour.  Brandon read the original and I read the sequel.  I made a video of Brandon reading, since he does such a great job with it!  🙂   After the books, we played the original songs by the author that accompany the books and the class jumped up and danced!  If you’ve ever heard Brian sing “Old MacDonald” and it sounds a little rough and a bit faster than normal, this is why.  😉  I have to say I totally prefer this version!  I think his teachers were mildly amused by our punk rock stylings (but mostly, I think they were grateful for the chance to catch up on some paperwork while the kids were busy!)

(Also included in the gallery–pics of Kendall being cute this morning, and Brian setting up the chessboard all by himself by looking at the diagram in his book.  Yes, he could do it from memory a few months ago, but it’s been awhile..!  Still, kudos for figuring it out on his own. 🙂

I enjoyed listening to Brandon reading Old MacDonald’s Farm. I read the old version to my kids long time ago. Good job, Brian for setting up the chess board.
