Playground Picnic with Kendall

Today was a special day in the First Steps classroom, since us parents were invited to come in and share a picnic lunch with the little ones!  I was so happy to have the chance to meet my sweet girl for lunch.  It was a lovely day outside, and Kendall was looking so cute in her dress!  She was happy to see me when I came into her classroom.  Lots of other folks did, too, and she definitely knew something was up.  While she didn’t seem too worried about it, she did seem a little concerned.  Once we got outside, I couldn’t get her to smile for the camera, she was so busy watching everyone else and all of the tall visitors.  🙂  I suppose it was very odd to have all these new people invading her playground!  But, she did sit nicely, up until the last few minutes when she wanted to show me some toys (she loves any chance to use the words she knows, like “ball”!)

Earlier this morning, Kendall wanted to use Brian’s broom, and I had to let her, even if she spread crumbs around a bit!  I applaud all efforts to help maintain our home.  🙂  Also, I keep trying to fix up Kendall’s hair in cute ways, and she really does seem to like these little hair bows!  However, she seems to think that yanking them out is a game (I’m not a fan of this one!)  If there’s any chance to be had of keeping one in for more than a few seconds, I have to rush her over to a mirror so she can see it.  🙂

Darling dress, Kendall. Alison, it is a blessing you have flexible work hours and could spend this time with Kendall. I rarely could leave my job except in an emergency.
