The kids did a masterful job of avoiding things they weren’t interested in today. The “have-to”s, like getting dressed for school, and getting into the bath and ready for bed just aren’t nearly as fun as playing with toys! This morning, Brian wanted to play with his Star Wars figures (and continue wearing his Star Wars PJs) much more than eating breakfast and getting dressed for school. This evening, Kendall kept escaping from the bathroom before Brandon could get her into the tub. She kept coming into Brian’s room to play with a toy flashlight. It came with a book, “Thomas and the Shadowy Night”. You shine the light through the cutout pictures in the popup book to make shadow shapes. It also comes with some spooky music and sound effects that the kids love just a bit more than we do. 😉 Well, Kendall wouldn’t put the thing down! Brian saw her playing in his room and decided he needed to play with his airplanes. They were cute, so we indulged them for just a few minutes, before we had to ultimately regulate and get things back on schedule. 🙂
