We think that Brian is getting old enough to start learning about money. Saving it, yes, but he also needs to learn the different coins and denominations! He’s been asking for a coin bank and I thought that was a good idea. He has a bank account, of course, but the tangible nature of saving up coins works well for kids, so it makes a good complement. I’d seen these cute coin banks in Japan years ago and thought, what a cool way to give a kid some extra motivation to feed the bank! Brian really likes his “coin stealing cat”!
