Brian’s Mega-House

Today was filled with Lego building fun!  Brian spent much of the day in his PJs, working on a mega-house.  He ended up making it about four stories high, with a playground/landing pad on the roof, and a campsite outside.  Kendall enjoyed putting her favorite Red Baby to bed, putting him in the bed and saying “night-night!” and then taking him out again, over and over.  Brian had the Mommy and Daddy figures put the Brian and Kendall figures to bed, too–but then they had to wake up so that he could add on another floor to the house.  The kid figures went outside for a campout party, and the Mommy and Daddy stayed inside to do their work.  He was telling me that it was Grandpa Steve, Grandma Sue, Kendall, and himself around the campfire, roasting marshmallows. 🙂  He worked really hard on that house, taking a Swedish Fish break at one point to keep his strength up. 😉   Later, Brian built a Star Wars minikit while I worked in the kitchen–he always loves to build spaceships!  We had a big surplus of peaches this week, so I made a peach cobbler.  We served it up with ice cream–that was a fun treat for everyone.  Paula Deen has had some negative press lately, but her peach cobbler recipe is a keeper!  We had been thinking about making a Jell-O mold, too, but decided against it–so Brian made a rainbow from all the boxes (we were more than a little indecisive at the store!)
