Today was a super busy one! We started off bright and early at Brian’s reading class. Brian is so enthusiastic about participating and he really enjoys all the books! Next up, building fun at another Lowe’s Build and Grow session. Brian made a cool Toy Story themed race car. Then, it was time to put the finishing touches on getting everyone packed up for our beach trip! We went to Brian’s skating lessons on the way out of town. Kendall was happy to see Brian on the ice, and we all enjoyed the cool (okay, cold!) reprieve from the heat. Then, we drove down to Morehead to visit with Steve and Sue at the beach! We broke up the drive by stopping at the Neuse Sport Shop, on a good tip from Steve. Brian found a Star Wars fishing pole, which makes some fun lightsaber-deploying sounds when he casts. It’s got a big foam practice hook, and two foam “fish” to practice catching. He also begged for a small net, and we went for it, who knows what he might find on our trip! Brian was pretty excited to get there–he wanted to just stand and look at the water for awhile. We spent a relaxing afternoon together, with Brian getting some indoor fishing instruction from Grandpa Steve. After dinner, we worked on our Lego Beach House for awhile. 🙂
