Building a Train
This morning presented us with another Lowe’s Build and Grow opportunity. Today, Kendall came along to help Brian build the Holiday Train. It seems to be quite the tradition as a similar build was done for last year. But this year, we got through the build as a team and it looked good! Other photos from the day feature the many funny faces of Kendall at...

Gotta love the creativity of these kids. However, we need an additional house just to hold all of the creative output! Ignoring that for a moment, let’s see what the kids did today! First, we had an outing to the latest Lowe’s Build and Grow event! This Saturday, Brian built the “Science Lab 2.0”. It included a beaker and flask that he did NOT have to build. This build also included cards that could be used to perform experiments at home! Science is fun kids! Even...

Today, Brian did some more work refining the shadow box/frame he started creating the last time we were at Marbles. He made it with a minimum of help from Brandon, and it is his own design! I’m not sure what he’ll ultimately put in it, but he’s mentioned that it will be for Kendall, and may have a Dragon-related theme. We’ll see! He made some pretty intricate train track layouts today as well. Kendall really lifted my spirits, giving me these gigantic running...

Brian caught up on his Turbo-themed Lowes Build and Grow projects today after his Mad Science: Eureka! camp. He now has both a cool pull-back Turbo he made previously (the super-fast snail from the movie which bears his name) and the really cute Taco Truck he made today, which belonged to the main human characters from the Turbo...

It was another super busy Satuday! This morning Brian had Lego Club, with a Lego Movie theme–awesome! He made some funny minifigures while he and Brandon were there, too. 🙂 Next, the boys were off to Lowe’s Build and Grow, where he made a cool claw game. The claw doesn’t actually grab, like in the real ones, but it does work like a hook to pick up things! I stayed home with Kendall, who entertained me while I got ready for the day (who knew a basket of rocks could be so...
