Mother’s Day School Parties
Today there were Mother’s Day parties at both kids’ schools, so I stepped out from work twice to attend them. Brian’s class presented a really cute program, complete with poems and songs, and Brian delivered his lines beautifully. Brian gave me a set of lovely gifts that he’d made himself, and I really loved the picture + bio he made for me! Today was the Boosterthon at Root, which had to be moved indoors at the last moment due to rain. I thought he staff did a good job of adapting the gym and the schedule, so that the kids could still have their fun run. They split up the the grades by gender so there weren’t too many kids out at once. Brian managed to run 42 laps (more than the max of 35, but that’s because he was having fun and just kept on going!) Kendall was looking quite festive for her classroom’s Valentine party today! I was able to join her for the afternoon gathering. She loved those cupcakes with the heart sprinkles, and sitting with her best friend Canady! We came home a little early and worked on a fun craft project–felt Valentine heart faces! Kendall really impressed me with her fine motor skills–she could totally use a yarn needle to sew the hearts together without any help! We made some cute faces and...
