LEGO Camp at Pullen
This week, Brian had two half-day LEGO camps at Pullen Park. In the morning he had Bricks 4 Kidz – A Pirate’s Quest and in the afternoon Bricks 4 Kidz – Gadgets and Gizmos Workshop. Great! Except that they don’t cover lunch. Luckily, Red Hat Tower is just minutes away from the park, so I got to have lunch with my little man all week-long. I promised him we could do one special ride each day if he could eat his lunch promptly when I got him. Here are some snapshots I got each day: Day 1:...

Brian is at Lego Camp this week, which he seems to like a whole lot! He’s been spending the mornings with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve. Today Grandma even hooked him up with a popsicle at Pullen Park before camp! As is usually the case, he didn’t really want to leave he was having so much fun building with his new buddies. After camp, Brian went to town on the Play-Doh, and Kendall was more than happy to help, once she arrived home! We presented Brian with a new book, based...

We picked up Brian from Lego Camp today and he was excited to show us the taco he’d made from a paper plate and construction paper! He loves the Benny poster in the camp room (he has one of his own, but we haven’t put it up in his room yet!) Brian had skating lessons this afternoon, so Kendall and I had some girl time! She was happy to see me when I picked her up, and showed me her Lego creation! I was amazed at the group of 2-year-olds sitting and playing so nicely with their...

Today was Brian’s last day at Hockey Camp (well, hockey week at the Cool Ventures camp at the IcePlex!) He received a cool hockey medal that he was very proud of. 🙂 Not to be outdone, Kendall wore the pirate eye patch he brought home in a prize bag. Both kids were excited by the arrival of a pair of plastic viking helmets! I’d ordered these to go with Brian’s Halloween costume, but didn’t know what style or size they’d really be, or if they’d be...

Brian is having a good time at his Cool Ventures hockey camp this week! (Despite the drama of the van getting broken into…) I think this one is probably the most playtime-filled camp he’s been to so far, but maybe it’s good for him to have a week where he can just take it easy, play hockey, watch movies, do easy crafts, and play video games with the other kids. Also included, photos of Kendall celebrating as she receives some additional water-squirting dragon friends for...
