Playhouse is Ready!
We’ve been working on transforming the alcove under the stairs in the garage into a clubhouse for the kids (and by “we”, I mean Brandon!) 😉 Today he declared it complete, and turned the kids loose in it. It’s got a cool play rug, whiteboard, storage cubes, metal board to make marble tracks and play with magnets.. Really a cool space for them! Brian had another hockey clinic today, and Brandon helped him tape his stick with his new pirate flag tape. Brian picked out that tape as a sort of tribute to his Grandpa Steve. Nana Rosemary brought over some wooden boxes that Steve had brought home from the ABC store long ago, each with some cool treasures inside for the kids to play with....

Brian loves rocks, as you probably know–but he didn’t know that I also liked rocks when I was a kid! While consolidating some jewelry and other special items into a new jewelry box, I came across my old rock collection. Brian was intrigued, looked at each rock, and separated them out by color. He even used Great-Grandma Legried’s beads to encircle and decorate them. 🙂 Brian was also surprised to see my “medals”–pins and such from various high school...
