Ladies’ Lunch/Hockey Clinic
Sue and I went out to lunch with Mary Conroy today at Vivace. Mary is one of those wonderful kind souls, a dear friend of Sue’s who I’ve come to love and appreciate so much. She stayed with me overnight at Sue’s house, when I was looking after my dad in his last few days, and Sue had to spend the night away at the hospital herself. She brought us delicious food more times than I can count, and was just wonderful with the kids. I was happy to see her again today, and after...

I got them to at least go downstairs and play with Duplos. Included is a video of them rocking out to Queen’s “I Want It All” in the van. Brian does this every-few-words shouting thing (don’t ask, I don’t get it either). Kendall does her epic Stevie Nicks hippie-hands...

The best news today was that Sue would be able to come home. But, things being as they are with hospital time, it would end up being later on in the day. So, I got myself into efficiency mode, and did what needed doing. Mary had risen super early and left, but surprised me by coming back and bringing me a homemade smoothie for breakfast! So nice of her. Brandon brought me some clothes and a toothbrush and such, so I was able to feel more or less human. My dad’s best friend Don...
