Skate Party, Heading to the Mountains
Today we are starting our summer vacation in earnest! Brian had a birthday party for his friend Hudson at United Skates of America this afternoon, and following that, we started our trek out to the mountains for Day Out with Thomas at Tweetsie Railroad tomorrow. Today was my mom’s retirement party at Zebulon Elementary! We couldn’t miss this occasion, so we left work early, picked up the kids, and headed out to Z-town. For once, we weren’t late!! Whew! Today was a busy one. This morning, Brian had swimming lessons, and I stayed home with Kendall. We did some drawing with her markers, and then she started connecting them, to see how far she could go. She pretended to be Darth Maul a bit, and was very proud of herself as her marker-saber got bigger and bigger! Today was Drew’s birthday party, at Pump It Up again, and Brian once again ruled the air hockey table! He enjoyed bouncing and seeing some of his Goddard school friends. I stayed home with Kendall and had fun playing with Boo, the toy food, the shopping cart, and the play kitchen.
