Random Thursday Fun
Brian surprised me this morning by creating a condensation comic in our bathroom–one panel for each year of his life, from baby, through preschool, all the way up to age 7 and first grade (looking ahead, I guess!) I think the reasoning here was to explain to Kendall how he is much older, etc., but he seemed to really enjoy talking his way through each age and grade he’s had so far. Tonight Kendall piled up all of her friends from the foot of the bed, to the head of the bed, and...

Today was Drew’s birthday party, at Pump It Up again, and Brian once again ruled the air hockey table! He enjoyed bouncing and seeing some of his Goddard school friends. I stayed home with Kendall and had fun playing with Boo, the toy food, the shopping cart, and the play kitchen. Kendall talked on the phone a lot, and was a very busy little lady, shopping, cooking, giving Boo a lot of rides in the cart. 🙂 I was busy this morning, trying my hand at making some Star Wars snowflakes....

This morning on the way to school, Brian started to cry softly out of nowhere–we asked what the matter was, and he said it was Mrs. Boswell’s 40th birthday, and he’d forgotten to make her a card! Poor kiddo. We tried our best to scrape some supplies together with what we had in the car–a sheet of paper from a Red Hat pad, some pens, a highlighter, and some stickers from Brian’s workbook did the trick! He was able to make this card for her on the drive from...

Today was another busy Saturday..! Brian did some sketching in his Darth Vader notebook (pretty awesome tree, right?) and made me a steam picture in the bathroom this morning. Kendall really loves her hot cocoa pajamas, and loves to point out the hearts. We ran some errands today and Brian saw this gigantic Darth Vader doll–he liked it a lot and tried to shove it into the cart, but we got him to settle for posing for pictures with it. We had Chik-fil-A for lunch, which is always a...

Brian made a really cool necklace today at Laurel Hills–he was so excited to show it to us when we picked him up! He was still modeling it for us at bathtime. 😉 The kids played with their Duplo ice cream set for awhile this evening. We really have to stop buying Duplos, but man! They keep making impossibly cute things. I do think they’ll get a lot of use out of these, though. Finally, the kids caught me laughing out loud over this post-holiday Grumpy Cat pic, and once I told...
