The Big Box
As many of you know, we really depend on Amazon Prime and Subscribe and Save around here, for everything from diapers to coffee to garbage bags. We got a really big delivery this month, and the box it came in was enormous! I thought the kids would enjoy playing in it, and of course they did. Brian did some drawing on it, and the kids loved climbing in and out, with the box vertical and horizontal. You might not think and five-year-old and a one-year-old would play so well together, but a...

Well, we finally did it–we’ve turned Kendall’s car seats around to be forward-facing! She’s definitely a big girl now, riding in style. 🙂 I think she really likes being able to see what’s going on, and interact with us some more. They changed the safety rules since Brian came along, and now the experts encourage rear-facing for a lot longer than they used to. But, she’s well within the size range, and she was seeming pretty uncomfortable with her legs...

Tonight was a weeknight hockey game, which is a pretty special treat for Brian! He and Brandon got to enjoy the game, and were surprised to find a big snowman outside the arena! She was so proud of herself, she just laughed and laughed about it! Even after getting her pajamas on, she...

Today we woke up to a little bit of snow dusting the grass. It wasn’t cold enough for it to cause any problems on the road, but it was plenty for Brian to get excited about! (It was Pajama Day at school, if you’re wondering about his awesome outfit. 😉 We didn’t have a ton of time, but we did manage to let him play a little before going to school, while Brandon cleaned off the car. Kendall got to wear her new penguin hat, which lasted all of about 15 seconds before...

This morning was a speech day, so Brian and Brandon had to leave early.. The kids did get to have a little breakfast together, and Brian thought Kendall should have a few pieces of Pirate Booty–a little wacky for a breakfast side dish, but, I think it was a hit! She was so cute in what I call her 80’s outfit–sparkly stripes with some rhinestones and a ruffled skirt over leggings.. I need to get a full length shot of it. 😉 Anyway, these early mornings can be rough on us...
