Christmas Eve 2014
It’s Christmas Eve, and the kids are predictably over-excited and bouncing off the walls! Well, who can blame them. 🙂 We had holiday donuts thanks to Nana Rosemary to start the day off with a sugary bang. Both kids had new holiday character shirts to wear. Once everyone was dressed, we worked on some crafts together. Brian made a Viking shield out of paper, and Kendall and I made a My Little Pony sticker picture together. Before long, Nana and Sytse were here for our Christmas...

Monday and Tuesday of this week, I’m home alone with the kids while Brandon works the last couple days before the holiday shutdown. They’re running me ragged (no surprise there!) but we’re fitting in a lot of fun. Today we played with our Lego advent calendars, built custom creations with Duplos, made sticker pictures and various decorations, and Brian drew a very nice picture of a gingerbread man and his house. Later this afternoon, we were...

Today was a busy one! We started out early with the kids waking us up to go and watch a squirrel in a tree outside our bathroom window (the height of excitement, truly). Nana Rosemary came by this morning for some more baking, and this time we made red velvet cupcakes! The kids made some more holiday crafts (I keep a lot of options on hand to keep them busy!) In the afternoon we went to Spring Arbor for Granny Jo’s birthday. She seemed happy to see us, and we all enjoyed the...
