Vegas Trip, day 1
Today I was off to Las Vegas, to speak at Splunk .conf 2014! The kids saw me off at the airport early this morning. I painted them a quick surprise picture before I left! Today was a busy day! We started off with some yummy Star Wars pancakes, and then headed off to the Museum of Life+Science in Durham for the Pumpkin Patch Express! For this event, the museum staff sets up lots of fun games and activities in the woods, at the far end of the train loop. The kids enjoyed choosing pumpkins, decorating with Halloween-themed foam stickers, making pumpkin decorations with pony beads and pipe cleaners, and all the games! Tonight was one of our girls’ nights, and Kendall and I made the most of it! She was looking sort of bored when I got to her classroom, but she popped up off that sofa and ran to me, squealing “Momeeeeeeeeeee!” She showed me some of her dance moves, too.
