Sunday Soccer
We’re all so grateful for some decent weather, we decided to play outside this afternoon! Brandon and Brian played soccer while Kendall and I played in the sandbox. We added some smooth river rocks to the sandbox, and Kendall had a good time cooking with those.. She was pretending all the pinkish rocks were strawberries. I asked her if the white ones were coconut, and she very seriously told me “nooooo!” Later, Kendall wanted to get into the soccer game, and she had fun,...

It was another super busy Satuday! This morning Brian had Lego Club, with a Lego Movie theme–awesome! He made some funny minifigures while he and Brandon were there, too. 🙂 Next, the boys were off to Lowe’s Build and Grow, where he made a cool claw game. The claw doesn’t actually grab, like in the real ones, but it does work like a hook to pick up things! I stayed home with Kendall, who entertained me while I got ready for the day (who knew a basket of rocks could be so...
Read MoreValentine Party, Rescheduled
Today was Brian’s classroom Valentine party, rescheduled due to the snow last week. I’d signed up to volunteer and read a book, way back in August–very glad I had lots of reminders! Today we all were back at school and work after the snow! Kendall was excited–she loves wearing her hat and mittens lately! We had a nice sunset this evening, a rare treat. (I’ll spare you, but feel free to imagine me grousing about the snow some more here!) 😉 I hadn’t been to the store in awhile and was panicking late this afternoon about what to make for dinner. On the way out, I asked a co-worker what he made the day before–he said “mango chicken”...
Read MoreLego Movie, again!
We went to see the Lego Movie again! This time we brought Kendall along as well for a matinee showing. It was just as good the second time, and Kendall seemed to really get into it! Also included, silly Brian with fried-egg eyes, some of Brian’s valentine cards that he made us, Kendall actually eating some spinach (!) at Noodle & Company, a paper-and-glue plane that Brian and I made, and the kids riding plasma cars in the garage. Brian’s sounded-out spellings can be tricky...
