Mother’s Day
It’s mother’s day, and Brandon and the kids took me out for a nice brunch at McCormick & Schmick’s. The kids were.. mostly good, I guess. But let’s please do this at noon or later next time so Mommy can get a mimosa and maybe stress out less. 😉 My dad’s marker finally got placed, so I wanted to be sure and place some flowers there. After brunch, the fam tagged along as I bought some flowers and made an arrangement. We delivered it later this afternoon....

It’s Mother’s Day eve and we have a ton on tap today. We kicked things off with swim lessons for Kendall. Since Alison had a hair cut appointment, Kendall joined Brian and I at Lowe’s Build and Grow. Today’s build was the Mother’s Day Planter Clinic. Kendall was a great helper in building and in selecting appropriate flowers to add to the planter. While waiting for mom to get home, the kids made breakfast for mom in toy food form! After a mite house league game we...

Today there were Mother’s Day parties at both kids’ schools, so I stepped out from work twice to attend them. Brian’s class presented a really cute program, complete with poems and songs, and Brian delivered his lines beautifully. Brian gave me a set of lovely gifts that he’d made himself, and I really loved the picture + bio he made for me! My favorite bit was his answer to “The hardest part about being a mom would be”: “Wrcking at Red Hat all...
Read MoreKendall’s Unicorn
Kendall still loves her unicorn that Brian won for her at the fair! It’s been a favorite to take to school this week. Brian only ever took Tiger to school for his naptime pal, but Kendall mixes it up. She holds it by the horn so much, the gold is starting to rub off a bit. I hope she isn’t chewing on it..!...

May the Fourth be with you! It’s Star Wars day, so Brandon and I picked up the special prize at the Lego store for the kids, and got them these fun paper rebel helmets, which they got to decorate with stickers. Pretty cool! It was also Kendall’s art show, so we made sure to check out all of her artwork on display at her school. Nice work, Kendall! I liked all of her artwork, but I think she was most proud of this red caterpillar she had painted. We stopped by the cemetary on...
Read MoreWacky Sunday
Brian had his portraits made in his hockey gear today, so look for those soon. 🙂 Both kids have been in very wacky moods today, just all over the place! Mint chocolate chip ice cream at Grandma’s after Sunday dinner was a fun treat. At bedtime, the kids wanted to play with their baby blankets–they even made me go and get out Brian’s blue blanket that’s similar to Kendall’s pink...
