Lego Kids Fest is back in Raleigh! We didn’t think it would be back so soon–usually they don’t repeat cities, but I suppose the Fest was a big success here! The snow day train just keeps rolling! It’s nasty out there. This round of snow arrived so hard and fast, that everyone who waited to leave work until the snow actually started yesterday got stuck in traffic for hours. The resulting snarls backed up major roads for 5 hours or more, and emergency vehicles even had trouble getting to all the beached cars and accidents. Tonight was the Hurricanes Kids’ Club party at PNC Arena! This was a pretty special event for Brian. We got to tour all around some of the behind-the-scenes areas at the stadium, including the locker room. Brian won an autographed puck in the raffle, and he collected autographs from some of his favorite players, and Stormy. But most importantly, he got to skate on the very ice where the ‘Canes play. Today was a teacher workday for Brian, and Brandon was on duty. The boys had an exciting day together, going to the Lego store for pick-a-brick, riding the R-Line in downtown Raleigh, visiting the Cupcake Shoppe, and they even joined me for lunch at Red Hat!
