Kendall Loves Pancakes (and Kale?!)
We know Kendall loves her food.. But today, she really celebrated with gusto! I surprised her with a milk delivery when I got her this morning, which is always met with quite a celebration. We had pancakes for breakfast, which brought on some more partying. And for dinner, I made a soup with sweet Italian sausage, cannellini beans, and kale. I knew that Kendall would love the beans (she loves all kinds–wish you could hear her yell “bean!” as she points to them). But she...
Read MoreRelaxing Sunday
Today was a relaxing Sunday at home, where we let the kids stay in their PJs late into the day and just took it easy. We made Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream (and have now created another little whipped cream monster–Kendall is obsessed with the stuff!) Kendall found some beads and wore them like a backpack while she played with the Star Wars toys and car garage. Brian and Brandon made some pretty spectacular tub crayon art during Brian’s bathtime...

Today was a really special day for Brian–he started ice skating lessons! He’s such a hockey fan, and really wants to play.. But as they say, “can’t skate, can’t play.” So, it’s time to learn! The lesson started off sort of rough, because even though Brandon had warned Brian that at first he would fall a lot, Brian was very frustrated. He made it through the lesson, but wanted to go home straight away. Luckily, Brandon had brought his skates, and...

Today was Brian’s final School-Family Partnership day with his Root Preschool class! Brandon and I both attended, and Brian was very excited to visit Pullen Park with us during the middle of a weekday! I think he liked having both of us to himself. 🙂 Ms. Sarah Catherine and Ms. Misty were there, and just a couple of Brian’s friends from class. Brian loved all the usual hotspots, including the train ride, mini boats, sand diggers, climbing structures, see-saws, and carousel. It...

Today the kids were very cute, playing restaurant with the toy pizza, stir fry, and sushi sets. Brian did most of the work, cooking, and taking care of customers, while Kendall mostly thought the velcro chopsticks and cucumber rolls were just magical. Brian spelled out their names and “love you” on the fridge with letter magnets all by himself, I was suitably impressed! Also, yes, the kids still haven’t finished off their Easter candy.. Maybe by Halloween....
