Way-back in preschool, Brian seemed to have about three birthday parties a month by the time he graduated. But, with Kindergarten, and a whole lot of new people, the parties settled-down to a more manageable number. It has almost gotten to the point where I miss them. So, what luck, Ella had a Birthday pool party! This was especially fun since it was the middle of summer break, so a lot of Mrs. Boswell’s kids and parents got together to catch up and have fun poolside. There were horrible thunderstorms leading-up to party time, to the point where I was almost sure the party would be cancelled. But, after picking up Brian from his Mad Science Summer Camp and getting back home, I decided we’d try to get out there. And, about two miles out, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and it was a beautiful evening to hang-out!
Besides just playing in the pool, the piñata was it’s normal fun. This was the first party I’d been to where we had both a rope breakage and a stick snap. It resulted in Ella’s dad having to pull the piñata apart to get the goodies inside. The kids didn’t mind, they still got their goodies!
Meanwhile, Alison picked-up Kendall from Goddard and they partook of a frozen treats and doing wheelies in the garage, you know… girl stuff! After the party, Brian and I stopped by Char-Grill to pick up some summer-time dinner (and shakes) to finish off a pretty great day!
