It’s a Teacher Workday on the Wake County Public School traditional calendar, so Brian and I hung out today while Alison and Kendall were at work and school, respectively. We did various things throughout the day. In the morning I got a stew going in the crock pot. In the afternoon, I thought we could take some corrugated cardboard to the recycling convenience center. While breaking-down boxes, Brian spied this one that he immediately thought should be made into a pirate ship!
So, with duct tape, sharpie, nylon rope, cardboard tube, wooden splints, nails, nut & bolt, and more salvaged cardboard, his ship was constructed for glorious driveway battle. I had a difficult time getting him to pose with his creation. The compromise was that he would do one of his famous photo essays for a Brian-view of the world. He really did a great job that I thought was super-detailed! When looking at the photos, you can use this as a glossary:
- canin = cannon
- boot = boat
- mates = mateys
- bk = Brian & Kendall
- ps = pirate ship
- acru = anchor (Brian made two so that both Brian and Kendall had their own)
- pirit = pirate
- sip = ship

Brian, you have the essential items on your pirate ship: ship, sail, anchors, wheel, and much more. Good job
