Welcome to a weekend edition post!
On Saturday, Brian started out by going to the Lowe’s Build and Grow Hawkeye’s Quinjet Clinic. Hawkeye is a character from Marvel’s Avengers and Avengers Assemble.
On Sunday, Alison spent a well-deserved afternoon at the day spa! While she was there, Brian was at his North Carolina State University 2015 Reading Skills Program for Entering 2nd Graders. As I had been feeling guilty about taking Brian on a few trips to Pullen Park by himself over the summer, I felt it was high-time for Kendall to get some individual dad time at Pullen Park, and that’s what we did while Brian was reading. Fun included riding the kiddie boats, the playground, the carousel, the swings, seeing the ducks, and partaking in a fresh lemonade. Time flew by and it was time to pickup Brian from reading. A popular thing to do after reading is to take a stroll/run by the fountain at the McKimmon Center, and today was no different.
But the fun wasn’t over. Both kids were a little hungry, so we had a quick snack at Taco Bell. And, since we were in the area, we decided we could spare an hour to enjoy some time at Marbles before Sunday dinner with Sue and Marci. The kids did not disagree!
