It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas with only 13 days to go! Our day started with Brian, Kendall, and myself going to Kendall’s swim lessons while Alison was getting her hair cut. Once dried-off from the pool, the three of us were off to the Lowe’s Build and Grow Train Engine Clinic. In a surprise move, the associate running the clinic let Kendall have her own train to build so the kids didn’t have to share. Brian is old enough where he can generally do the build by himself with only a little guidance, and I could focus on helping Kendall step-by-step. They were both proud of their building accomplishments!
Back at home, the kids played with their wooden castles they got from Steve and Sue on Christmas last year!
In the afternoon, we were off to a Mite League game for Brian.
In the evening, the kids had fun with our newly expanded and reinforced wooden train set under the tree. I took some ideas that Grandma Sue implemented at her house and did something fun that we can do going forward! We also bought one new element that we had seen at “Day Out With Thomas”, a type of snow-globe tunnel that the trains can go through while one turns the dial to make it snow. Much more advanced and high-tech old-school decorations! We also continued with our LEGO Advent Calendars and getting Star Wars Advent Ornaments on the tree.
