Beach Trip! Monday
You’d think the kids would sleep really well after such an exciting day yesterday.. But, as luck would have it, they were both up and wide awake at 6am–ouch! Brandon and I were zombies as the kids played as the sun came up, but lots of coffee and breakfast helped. 🙂 After breakfast, we saw that the tide had gone out, and Brian went on an impromptu nature walk with Grandma Sue. Today was a truly epic adventure! We decided to take a ride on Grandpa Steve’s boat over to Cape Lookout. I’ve pretty much already decided, we’ll do this again next summer! Brian was very proud that he got to circle the letter B...

The kids got into the spirit early, wearing baseball caps as we were getting ready to go. Once we arrived, we were happy to see that Brian’s friend Selah and her dad were in attendance, and sitting near us. Mr. Malay gave Brian and Selah new Durham Bulls hats, and Ms. Vineeta came by to sit with us for awhile....
