School Holiday Parties

Today was almost everyone’s last day of work and school before the holidays (because I’m staying home with the kids during the work days next week).  I was signed up to be the “mystery reader” in Brian’s class today, so I surprised him by showing up to read “Dragons Love Tacos” to his class!  It’s such a funny book.  I think the class really enjoyed it.  Brian and a couple of other kids knew it well, and I had to remind them not to yell out...

Frozen on Ice

Today it was finally time to see Frozen on Ice, after buying our tickets many months ago!  The kids were very excited about going to the show.  We had never been to any other Disney on Ice show, so we didn’t really know what we were in for.  Brandon and I privately thought it would probably be pretty cheesy, short, and exceedingly overpriced.  In reality, it was only one of those things, with pretty high production quality, and a solid 2.5 hours of entertainment.  😉  We had prepaid for...

Building a Train

This morning presented us with another Lowe’s Build and Grow opportunity. Today, Kendall came along to help Brian build the Holiday Train. Other photos from the day feature the many funny faces of Kendall at...

Baking Day!

Today, Nana Rosemary came to our house for a fun-filled day of holiday baking!  Kendall was home from school today, so we were able to have three generations of “the girls” (as Kendall started calling us) all working together.  The kids each got a cake to decorate from Nana, and they went to town on them, just covering them with icing, sugar, sprinkles, and even adding some graham crackers to make doors and windows so they could be like gingerbread houses.  I felt lucky to have the...

Pajama Sunday

Sunday at home, perfect for the kids to enjoy having a pajama day.  Brian started out the day with a cool block creation.  Kendall was happy to receive some My Little Pony ornaments, which we added to the tree.  I am still dealing with some issues post-surgery and not feeling so great, but with Brandon’s help, was able to make a big pot of our new favorite chicken stew (really, try that, y’all!  It is simple and hearty and perfect.)  The kids got to break the wish bone, and Brian...
