Science Fun in Chapel Hill
Today we were invited to go to Chapel Hill so that Kendall could participate in a study being done by the UNC Psychology department. Well, it’s the last day of our trip in Colorado! It always goes by so quick. Today, we started as we did a lot of days of this trip with a competitive game of Uno. We decided to do a quick site-seeing tour of my old stomping grounds of northern Colorado Springs, known as Briargate. You go to Colorado Springs, you go up Pikes Peak, that’s how this works. And, as someone that grew-up at altitude, I feel it my duty to acclimatize the low-land family to being less than three miles up 🙂 We headed out fairly early in the morning to avoid any potential late-day thunderstorms and/or clouds. Time to take the kids to the zoo where they belong! Wait, we’re just visiting the zoo? Oh, okay, that’s cool too 🙂 It has been nearly four years since we visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
