Christmas Day!
Merry Christmas! The kids certainly had a most excellent day. They remembered out instructions and came downstairs together with us (Brian taking the lead!) He immediately noticed the Mameshiba display I’d set up for them with their plushies, and started singing the Mameshiba Christmas song. Next they found their new kitchen! That was a pretty big hit with both. 🙂 I insisted that we have breakfast before doing much more with presents, and we enjoyed some hot cocoa with our new...

Happy Birthday to Kendall! It certainly was an epic day for her. Brandon and I stayed up way too late last night, getting things in order and getting some decorations going. Brian helped us with some more decorations this morning–boy, was Kendall so surprised when she came down for breakfast! Whoa, there’s Hello Kitty stuff everywhere! She was so excited. She really loved the balloons, especially the gigantic Hello Kitty shaped one (that used up so much of the helium!) After...

Today we had some family pictures made–all 4 of us this time! That was a pretty exhausting endeavor, and my nerves were beyond shot by the end of it. The girl wreaked havoc as usual, screaming bloody murder and leaving a wake of destruction as she rampaged through the studio. “KENDALL SMASH!” doesn’t even begin to cover how this girl behaves on picture day. So, we’ll see how they turn out in a couple of weeks. I honestly can’t remember what the previews...

Tonight was our introduction to Root Elementary’s “Rootin’ Tootin'” fall fundraising celebration. I have never seen such a school event before. There were carnival games, pony rides, a bake sale, a silent auction…! For a small school, there was quite a turnout! The photos don’t really reflect the mass of humanity that was in attendance. The cafeteria was as packed as a mall food court on Black Friday. I couldn’t believe how rafted up the bake...
