Brandon’s Birthday!

Today was Brandon’s birthday!  He opened up everyone’s cards today, thanks for thinking of him!  He had a pile of cards from me and the kids, too.  Brian really liked the “Birthday Ninja” card that he gave Brandon (hint:  they’re just like regular ninjas, except they sneak up on you to deliver cupcakes!)  Being the expert card maker that he is, also made some homemade cards to go along with the ones from the store.  Brandon enjoyed reading them all!  Kendall...

Rootin’ Tootin’ Fun!

Tonight was our introduction to Root Elementary’s “Rootin’ Tootin'” fall fundraising celebration.  I have never seen such a school event before.  There were carnival games, pony rides, a bake sale, a silent auction…!  For a small school, there was quite a turnout!  The photos don’t really reflect the mass of humanity that was in attendance.  The cafeteria was as packed as a mall food court on Black Friday.  I couldn’t believe how rafted up the bake...

Pumpkin Lights!

Today we put up our pumpkin lights!  That’s always fun and helps us get into the Halloween spirit.  Hopefully it doesn’t annoy the neighbors too much.  We also made some more indoor Halloween decorations, this time a sparkly bat, a pumpkin owl, and a Halloween tree!  Brian and I had made these bead name banners awhile ago, and I surprised the kids by hanging them on their doors today.  I can’t bring myself to take down the Baby Perkins button that Rosemary had put on a baby...
