Happy 11th Anniversary!
Eleven years ago today, Alison and Brandon were married! It’s been a wonderful ride with a great journey ahead! Update: We had a fantastic getaway. 😀...

Tonight was a hockey night for the boys, but us girls had a fun night in by ourselves! Kendall practiced cruising a bit, and played with Duplos a bit. We had some leftovers from Guasaca for dinner, and Kendall is all about the avocado. She very clearly asked me for one of the containers, so I handed it to her.. She promptly put it on her head and modeled her hat for me! She was so proud of herself. I also decided to let her have a couple of spice cookies for dessert, and wow–she...

Brandon took the kids to Lake Lynn for a bike and stroller trip today. He did this to give me a break and let me catch up on some things (like this blog, for which I am still weeks behind. Ahem.) 😉 Brian was disappointed that the bread to feed the ducks was forgotten, but we’ll be back again soon. 🙂 Looks like some sea gulls came to...
Read MoreThe Big Box
As many of you know, we really depend on Amazon Prime and Subscribe and Save around here, for everything from diapers to coffee to garbage bags. You might not think and five-year-old and a one-year-old would play so well together, but a...

Well, we finally did it–we’ve turned Kendall’s car seats around to be forward-facing! She’s definitely a big girl now, riding in style. 🙂 I think she really likes being able to see what’s going on, and interact with us some more. They changed the safety rules since Brian came along, and now the experts encourage rear-facing for a lot longer than they used to. But, she’s well within the size range, and she was seeming pretty uncomfortable with her legs...

Tonight was a weeknight hockey game, which is a pretty special treat for Brian! He and Brandon got to enjoy the game, and were surprised to find a big snowman outside the arena! I guess they must have pushed every last bit of snow in the parking lot from the other day together to make this guy. 🙂 I stayed home with Kendall, who showed me her mastery of the stacking/nesting cups. She was so proud of herself, she just laughed and laughed about it! Even after getting her pajamas on, she...
