Family Treasures

Brian loves rocks, as you probably know–but he didn’t know that I also liked rocks when I was a kid!  While consolidating some jewelry and other special items into a new jewelry box, I came across my old rock collection.  Brian was intrigued, looked at each rock, and separated them out by color.  He even used Great-Grandma Legried’s beads to encircle and decorate them.  🙂  Brian was also surprised to see my “medals”–pins and such from various high school...

‘Canes Kids Club

Tonight, after school, we headed over to the PNC Arena for the Carolina Hurricanes Kids Club Party. It is kind of a mini-version of the bigger “Skate with the Canes,” focused on the younger fans. Festivities got started up with a cut-throat game of “Stormy Says” (exactly the same as Simon says, except you have to do what Stormy the Ice Hog says). Brian the Dancing Goalie

Brian had a Lowes Build and Grow event this morning.. But the real action today came later, when he we received his brand-new hockey equipment!  He was excited to try on his new pads, glove, blocker–and new game-grade Star Wars helmet!  He said Kendall could have his street hockey Star Wars mask, and they modeled them together!  We asked Brian to try moving around in his gear, and he started to dance!  It was so great, we asked him to do it again with some music on!  Hilarious.  Later...
