Skating Saturday!
It was another skating Saturday for Brian! He’s really improving, and having fun–just check out that grin! Kendall and I relaxed at home, and she got into playing trains quite a bit! We kept playing trains after the boys got home, while they played Lego Star Wars. Kendall played with my Red Hat fedora, and I thought she looked so cute with it on! I guess the boys were worn out–they both sacked out during story time....

Grandpa Steve and Grandma Sue have been far beyond invaluable to our entire family for more than two years with transporting Brian to and from Root Elementary School and The Goddard School. Reports from all three parties indicate that they all have really enjoyed this arrangement. This responsibility will be ending in literally one week as Wake County Schools go on summer break and Brian will be returning in the fall as a full-time Kindergartner! As much fun as it has been over these two...

Aren’t these kids adorable? We already know this, of course, but more photos are never unwelcome, right? 🙂 Kendall was the cat’s pajamas this morning in her, ah, cat pajamas, holding onto her little big cats. (English teachers, forgive me that awkward sentence!) After school, Brian was just glowing in the afternoon sun, rocking out to some Cheap Trick, wearing his cool t-shirt with a quote from their song “Surrender“. (Yes, the shirt is quite hipster-ironic and...

We spent a lot of our Memorial Day at home, just relaxing.. But, eventually, we did make it out of the house and paid a visit to the Life and Science Museum in Durham! As it turned out, we got there so late in the day, we didn’t have a lot of time. With just over an hour until closing time, we would have to take our tour Casa Bonita-style..! But, we decided to go ahead and become members, and vowed to come back really soon! The first thing the kids really got into was the...

It was a beautiful day, so after playing picnic with the toy food for awhile, we decided to have a real picnic at the Raulston Arboretum at NC State. We packed up our gear, picked up some takeout from Neomonde, and enjoyed our Mediterranean feast on the picnic blanket. Then we set off to explore the arboretum. The kids loved discovering the big colorful dragon sculpture, and the stone garden. Kendall kept trying to pick up the round ones, saying “ball!” We liked the desert...

Just a relaxing Saturday at home! The kids had some sandbox time, since it was a beautiful day outside. Brian enjoyed finding ladybugs and playing stick-saber. I think Kendall is so cute in that Ramones romper, just as Brian was. 🙂 I bought that for my “theoretical, potential baby that I might have eventually” probably more than a decade ago. Just couldn’t pass it up, even rock tees are cuter in miniature! So glad they both got to wear it–and, that they like the...
