The Princess and The Ballet
Today was a special day for Kendall! We started out by going to Build-A-Bear to get her new Princess Celestia all fluffed up. Brian got to stay home with Grandpa Roger–good thing, it was certainly a zoo in the Build-A-Bear on the day after Christmas! Hoo boy. But, it’s worth it, Kendall’s new friend is certainly quite special. Thanks, Nana! Later, we all packed ourselves into the van to go attend the Carolina Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker. Merry Christmas! We started bright and early with the kids. Before long, Nana and Sytse were here for our Christmas...

Monday and Tuesday of this week, I’m home alone with the kids while Brandon works the last couple days before the holiday shutdown. They’re running me ragged (no surprise there!) but we’re fitting in a lot of fun. Today we played with our Lego advent calendars, built custom creations with Duplos, made sticker pictures and various decorations, and Brian drew a very nice picture of a gingerbread man and his house. (Brian corrected me, the orange on his man’s face is...

Today the kids had a sticky, crazy good time, decorating all of those extra gingerbread cookies we made yesterday. They liked the icing colors on the Star Wars ones, but I think the sprinkles on the gingerbread boys and girls were their favorite! They also enjoyed some starfruit that came in our Produce...
