Day Out With Thomas!
Today we were off to celebrate a Day Out with Thomas, in Spencer, NC. Brian informed us that he isn’t really into Thomas anymore (this kid is too big for his britches, now that he’s a big kindergartener!) Today we packed up and hit the road early to visit the zoo! The kids watched Star Wars on the drive, and then we set out to explore. It was a really hot day, but we still visited all of our usual stops along the trail. I was happy to see my favorites, the ocelot, the bobcat, and the otters. Today we went to play at Laurel Hills Park, our favorite neighborhood park. 🙂 Brian and I strolled there every day when he was a baby, he’s had a few birthday parties there, and soon, he will be going there every day for his after-school program. Today was a truly epic adventure! We decided to take a ride on Grandpa Steve’s boat over to Cape Lookout. Brian got to visit the marina to retrieve the boat, and then we got everyone suited up and ready to go. It took just over an hour to make the trip.
