Today was Brandon’s birthday! He opened up everyone’s cards today, thanks for thinking of him! He had a pile of cards from me and the kids, too. Brian really liked the “Birthday Ninja” card that he gave Brandon (hint: they’re just like regular ninjas, except they sneak up on you to deliver cupcakes!) Today we put up our pumpkin lights! That’s always fun and helps us get into the Halloween spirit. Hopefully it doesn’t annoy the neighbors too much. We also made some more indoor Halloween decorations, this time a sparkly bat, a pumpkin owl, and a Halloween tree! It’s election day! Yes, a very minor one in the grand scheme of things, but a very important one to us. There’s a bond referendum for funding renovations and expansions of schools in Wake County, and we know how important that is! Root was renovated a few years ago, and the faculty are still talking about what a difference it has made for the kids.
