Ayden’s Birthday
Being the parents of a five-year old, it seems as if every other weekend is a birthday. In reality, if you count the multiple-birthday weekends, that number is probably about right. But today’s birthday excitement was for Ayden. The parties for Ayden and Nico are extra special as it’s not the standard group of kids for Brian, as he doesn’t go to school with them. For those that need the refresher, Ayden is the son of my friend, and co-worker, Corey and his wife Sarah. The...

This day was the definition of a busy 5-year-old’s day… and dad was just trying to hang on. It started with the latest Lowe’s Build and Grow project day. This clinic was to build the “Wheel of Love”. I wasn’t so confident about my seams holding up to a lot of washing, so I put the blanket away while she was in the major spitup phase.. And, of...

Kendall has been doing a little more standing on her own, and starting to pivot a bit, but no more steps lately.. She’s gaining confidence in her own way. She’s quite the determined little girl–just look at that face! She just loves that cookie match game, and she will work at taking those cookies apart until she gets it! She seems to sort the cookie tops and bottoms into different piles. She can even put some of the simpler shapes back together, which I am so impressed...
