We spent a lot of our Memorial Day at home, just relaxing.. But, eventually, we did make it out of the house and paid a visit to the Life and Science Museum in Durham! It was a beautiful day, so after playing picnic with the toy food for awhile, we decided to have a real picnic at the Raulston Arboretum at NC State. We packed up our gear, picked up some takeout from Neomonde, and enjoyed our Mediterranean feast on the picnic blanket. Then we set off to explore the arboretum. We had to switch studios this time, as Sears unceremoniously closed down all of their portrait studios! Today was a relaxing Sunday at home, where we let the kids stay in their PJs late into the day and just took it easy. We made Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream (and have now created another little whipped cream monster–Kendall is obsessed with the stuff!)
