Lego Creationary
Today we enjoyed playing Lego Creationary. It’s a game where you draw cards, and have to build something that approximates what’s on your card. The other players have to guess what it is. Some of those cards are really challenging! Kendall played with the power tool/take-apart toys a lot today, and she got a new My Little Pony book about the wedding of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor. It came with a beaded bracelet to commemorate the momentous occasion. 😉 Kendall was quite...

I came across a little plastic piece of history–a Cap’n Crunch whistle, that famously blows a perfect 2600Hz when the top hole is covered. Our kids will never get to make a free phone call this way, but a lot of folks did, when analog phone switches were in use. 🙂 ...

The kids got a new electric toothbrush! It’s a Sonicare for Kids. Hopefully they will like it, I think our Sonicare helps us keep our teeth healthy. We upgraded our brush as well. Another big day for the Perkins family. It started out with Brandon taking Kendall to swimming lessons, which are coming along great! And Alison taking Brian to LEGO Club where he made a conveyance system for a koala! After a bit of downtime, the whole family was off to the IcePlex for Brian’s final game of his first season of House League Mite Hockey. We are so proud of everything he accomplished to learn to skate, learn to play, and to be out the gate as a high-quality goaltender! All...

Yeah! We’re off to the beach for Memorial Day weekend. Grandma Sue rode down with us, and on the way we all spotted a lot of hot air balloons drifting over Five County Stadium. No idea what was going on, but it was a fun surprise to see! When we arrived at the beach house, the kids just loved Grandma’s new rug! It’s so soft and fluffy, they were making snow angels in it. 😉 I really hope they don’t spill on...
