Monday Mayhem
Kendall sure was a cutie this morning, playing with her blocks. Brian drew this cute little robot on the easel paper–so many colors for a little droid! Brandon went to check and see if Steve’s marker had been installed yet. It hadn’t, but, they have it onsite and it should be ready soon. He pretty much insisted that Brandon come take a look at it, since it was out sitting on some sawhorses. 🙂 I spied a pretty amazing piece of artwork on the couch today–but it...

Red Hat’s own Hat Rack Cafe now has a dinner-to-go offering, so we’re trying that out for quick Tuesday night dinners. (Why Tuesday? It’s the night before our Produce Box deliveries, so theoretically, we should be lowest on produce then). Tonight we were happily surprised that the dinner was a Japanese Udon soup with chicken and vegetables. Yummy! Brandon, the safety warden of the week. 🙂 We finally used our Easter eggs to make our traditional egg salad today (a couple days later than I like to do it, but it was still good!) Kendall wanted me to twirl her hair up in a bun this evening. It’s long enough to make a pretty substantial...
Read MoreCrystal Mining
Today I let Brian work on his Crystal Mining set–basically, three interesting rocks in a brick of plaster of paris, where the objective is to slowly saw them out with a plastic knife. Talk about busy work! But, the kids found it fun and exciting, to see what will get uncovered. While putting some things away while the kids were otherwise occupied, I suddenly remembered the silver bowl that we’d bought in India, and the two tiny silver spoons we’d bought at the same time,...
