Dino Egg Hunt
Today was the Dino Egg Hunt at the Museum of Life + Science in Durham! On the way in, we were happy to run into Brian’s pal from his Goddard days, Julian. What a nice surprise! The kids played outside for awhile before it was our turn to hunt. The fossil dig area was a hit! Julian is a bit of an expert about dinosaurs, so he told us about some of his favorites. There were some new activities outside, like the big dinosaur 3D puzzles, and some old favorites. The kids had fun with...

We visited the aquarium today! We let the kids do the fun green screen photos again. 🙂 It’s cool that they email you all the different photos! Really helps avoid the indecisiveness and meltdowns at checkout....

Today we were off to Chapel Hill for LegoPalooza at the Morehead Planetarium. It was a long wait to get up the stairs to the third floor, but, so fun to see all the different Lego creations! The kids love the big sundial outside. Something about it, the kids just can’t resist running around and around it. We picked up a variety of slices from Pizza & Pasta to take to Sue’s for our family dinner. It’s now located in Carr Mill, as the Franklin St. location is closed....

(I’ve never learned how to skate, and I’m not willing to risk an injury right now, no thanks!) I found a nice spot to watch the action, bundled up, activated a pile of handwarmers, and enjoyed the show. 😉 Kendall could stand on her skates right away, but she seemed to freeze up on the ice (if you’ll...

Today we took Grandpa Roger to Marbles! They had a special Engineer It! activity room set up, with all sorts of building materials you could use to make contraptions that cause a chain reaction. What fun! We spent a lot of time in this room. As the ranking engineer in the room, Grandpa Roger took the rest of us to school. 🙂 Kendall really liked hooking up the little cars to strings and dragging them around and around. Brian liked creating big marble runs. We did manage to play in some...
