Roger’s Visit! Day 4

The boys picked up some Krispy Kreme last night after the hockey game, so we enjoyed a super-sugary breakfast today!  Kendall was a fan. 😉  We figured we should attempt another educational outing today, so we packed everyone up and went to the Natural History museum downtown.  The kids had a blast, visiting a lot of their favorite spots and sharing them with Grandpa Roger, but they were so wild!  Maybe it was the doughnut breakfast, or maybe just vacation stir-craziness, but it was an...

The first thing the kids really got into was the...

Picnic at the Arboretum

It was a beautiful day, so after playing picnic with the toy food for awhile, we decided to have a real picnic at the Raulston Arboretum at NC State.  We packed up our gear, picked up some takeout from Neomonde, and enjoyed our Mediterranean feast on the picnic blanket.  Then we set off to explore the arboretum.  The kids loved discovering the big colorful dragon sculpture, and the stone garden.  Kendall kept trying to pick up the round ones, saying “ball!”  We liked the desert...
