Today was the Dino Egg Hunt at the Museum of Life + Science in Durham! On the way in, we were happy to run into Brian’s pal from his Goddard days, Julian. What a nice surprise! The kids played outside for awhile before it was our turn to hunt. The fossil dig area was a hit! Julian is a bit of an expert about dinosaurs, so he told us about some of his favorites. We took things a little easier today, since we’ve been pushing pretty hard, and it was rather soggy and windy this morning, anyway. Lots of whitecaps out on the water! The kids played around the house, with their new puzzle, and their Lego suitcase kits. The spring break fun continued today (after a “healthy” breakfast, of course!) Today we were off to the aquarium, always a good time. 🙂 Brian really liked this gigantic plushie sting ray, but it’s nearly as big as him, pretty impractical. Our education spring break beach trip rolls on, as today we went to the Crystal Coast Visitor Center, Beaufort, and the NC Maritime Museum (or the “Pirate Museum”, as the kids call it!) Brian continued to take good notes, and both kids enjoyed doing the scavenger hunt.
