July Beach Trip, day 3: July 4th!
Like many mornings after a hurricane, today started out bright and clear! Brian wanted to go outside early, since he was worried about a moth that had been hanging out on the porch yesterday. He didn’t know if it had made it through the storm or not. We were amazed to see that it was alive and hanging tough (literally!) under the porch railing. Today was another fun-filled day at the beach! The kids were up bright and early as usual, and started the day by playing with Legos in their jammies. I’ve probably mentioned those books before, but they are a really fun series of books that are about a brother and sister who travel through time and space to visit many historical or otherwise exotic locations! Today we mostly just hung out at home! We had a nice waffle breakfast–Brian made a house guy out of his waffle, sausage, and melon balls. Regular readers of our family expeditions know that we have been making yearly treks to spend a day out with Thomas since Brian was first able to watch the show.
