Going to Z-Town
Today we all went out to Zebulon to visit Nana Rosemary and Pake Sytse. It was a sunny day, so we walked down to the pond to see the new trail they’d cut. The kids liked being out in nature, and I did, too. Brian liked getting to drive the golf cart a little. We saw so much mistletoe in the trees, some of it was so low, we could reach out and grab it! Grandpa Roger took a photo with a sprig of mistletoe for Grandma Cheryl, and I got Brandon to pose for a cheesy photo with some....

Today the kids had a sticky, crazy good time, decorating all of those extra gingerbread cookies we made yesterday. They liked the icing colors on the Star Wars ones, but I think the sprinkles on the gingerbread boys and girls were their favorite! They also enjoyed some starfruit that came in our Produce...

Later this afternoon, we were...

Today it was finally time to see Frozen on Ice, after buying our tickets many months ago! The kids were very excited about going to the show. We had never been to any other Disney on Ice show, so we didn’t really know what we were in for. Brandon and I privately thought it would probably be pretty cheesy, short, and exceedingly overpriced. In reality, it was only one of those things, with pretty high production quality, and a solid 2.5 hours of entertainment. 😉 We had prepaid for...

It’s Thanksgiving! We gathered over at Steve and Sue’s house, along with Marci, Pete and Julie. Sue had prepared a beautiful meal for us all. The kids amused everyone with their antics (I choose to believe “amused” rather than “annoyed”..!) The kids loved Grandma’s pumpkin tower outside. They each got a special surprise–a personalized ornament! They love having their names on them, and how they light up. Kendall brought over her...
