Today the kids (and I!) all wore our new Dragon t-shirts! The kids went to school like it was a normal day, but Brandon and I played hooky, and made it a work-around-the-house day. Today Brian officially started first grade! He has some brand-new How to Train Your Dragon 2 school supplies, and he was very excited to start the new school year. First through fifth graders just do the regular carpool on the first day, so just he went on in by himself! Our third time attending a Fresh Beat Band concert was today. As a reminder, the first time we saw them we travelled to Norfolk, VA to see them. At the time, we had no idea how long they would be doing these concerts or how many locations. It was a huge deal to Brian at the time that we actually went on a weekday to see them. This morning, Brian and I had another double-activity morning, with a Lego Club meeting (Chima-themed), followed by his reading class at NC State.
