Splash Day!
Predictably, this weekend was a hot one! We decided to let the kids have a splash day to celebrate the summer-like weather. While the pool was warming up, the kids played with some of their new books from the Goddard book fair–the how-to-draw books were a big hit with Brian! It’s Saturday and we’re starting off our Memorial Day weekend with a zoo trip! It wasn’t supposed to be too hot, so we thought it would be a great day to go. Today, Brandon and the kids let me sleep in! They headed out early to go to Lowe’s Build and Grow, where Brian and Kendall worked together to build a cute flower delivery van! They also bought me a lovely lily plant. It looks like they had a great time building together! When they came home, I was presented with beautiful bouquet of flowers, a fancy coffee from Caribou, and a huge spread of Bruegger’s bagels and sandwiches! We started off our Saturday with a Lego Club meeting where the theme was Spider-Man. We aren’t all that up-to-date on the happenings in the Marvel universe, and we’d never even heard of Electro, the villian featured on this week’s t-shirt. Happy Easter! We sure had an awesome one. We started off the day with the kids getting their Easter baskets and presents, and they were so surprised! We had collected a number of really cool presents for them, including a Lego Star Wars Battle of Hoth game that wasn’t even release in the US.
