Dino Egg Hunt!
Today we were off to Durham for more Easter-themed fun! The Museum of Life+Science has a Dino Egg Hunt annually, and we’d hoped to attend last year, but it didn’t work out. We did manage it this year, and the kids had a fantastic time! We visited some of their favorite things, like the boats, and the Soundspace 2 room, but the main attraction was the egg hunt! It was located in the woods adjacent to the dinosaur trail, in an area that isn’t usually open to the public. It...

Ohh, today was another super busy Saturday! We started off bright and early at Brian’s last swimming lesson! He’s completed the full series at Rex now. It was a beautiful morning, and I really enjoyed the cherry blossoms outside the wellness center. They were so beautiful in the sunlight. Brandon and Kendall caught up with us after the lesson, and together we all headed over to Laurel Hills for the Easter egg hunt there. It was a nice one, with lots of games and such for the...

Today was a busy one! The kids started off their morning with some marker art time. Then, Kendall was off to a birthday party at My Gym for her classmate Nicklai. Brandon and Kendall had a great time there, and Kendall took to all the activities really well! Brandon said she outclassed all those other kids. 😉 This afternoon, we had some Lego time, and the kids made an awesome structure. Then, we all went to the ‘Canes Alumni Game. That’s a fun red-vs-white game, where some...

We had a fun, busy day today! The kids were active early, playing piano (okay, that’s a charitable way to view it–mostly vying for position on the bench, trying to not get caught shoving each other!) We heard one of them start singing the classic “Lollipop” song by the Chordettes (1958)–soon enough, both of them were singing it at top volume. We asked if they’d heard the original, and, long story short, we ended up watching a whole pile of black-and-white...

We may be back from the beach, but we’re still on spring break! Today we decided to enjoy the nice weather and take the kids to Laurel Hills park to play. We had picked up a pair of Hello Kitty walkie-talkies at the beach, which Kendall spotted in the Best Buy. We let the kids play with them at the park, even though they’re a bit noisy, and don’t work all that well! Walkie-talkie hide-and-seek was a fun game, and some of the other kids wanted to get in on the action....
