Brian’s Play-Dough
This morning, Brian found out that his speech therapist Kim had her baby four days earlier! He was super happy for her, but is still looking forward to getting her back 🙂 At Camp Marbles, Brian made Play-Doh, and made his own pyramid. He decided to give it to Kendall! That was quite sweet of him. Kendall was playing with her Chinese Finger trap. She is still quite amazed with it! Not a bad Thursday at...

Kendall was up early this morning, and decide to bring all her ponies into our bathroom (?) for a pony party. Â Okay Kendall, we get it, we’re awake…! Â Sheesh. Â We haven’t had a weekend this summer that has been good for backyard splash fun yet, so we decided that today had to be the day, even though the ground was a bit soggy and clouds were in the forecast. Â The kids made the most of the breaks in the clouds, and had a wild time running around and splashing each other....

Happy 4th of July!  The kids had a second round of fun with the kiddie pool in the backyard today.  Again it wasn’t quite as sunny or warm as we probably would have liked, but the kids still had a good time.  This evening we packed up some snacks and a pile of glow sticks and headed to the parking deck at Red Hat Tower to see the downtown fireworks.  We were comfortable “tailgating” in the back of the van as we waited for sunset, and our folding lawn chairs were great seats...

Today we were invited to go to Chapel Hill so that Kendall could participate in a study being done by the UNC Psychology department.  This was a follow-up to last year’s visit, which Kendall enjoyed–and who wouldn’t enjoy getting piles of stickers for playing games with the researchers?  🙂  So we made the trek out this morning, and Kendall played her games while I filled out huge surveys, and she earned an entire baggie full of stickers, and even a special purple fairy rubber...

This week, Brian had two half-day LEGO camps at Pullen Park. In the morning he had Bricks 4 Kidz – A Pirate’s Quest and in the afternoon Bricks 4 Kidz – Gadgets and Gizmos Workshop. Great! Except that they don’t cover lunch. Luckily, Red Hat Tower is just minutes away from the park, so I got to have lunch with my little man all week-long. I promised him we could do one special ride each day if he could eat his lunch promptly when I got him. Here are some snapshots I got each day: Day 1:...

Today was the last day of Brian’s “Science Fun for Everyone” camp, and they had a fun Diet Coke & Mentos exhibition! Â Brandon and I couldn’t get there, but Grandma Sue did, and sent us these pictures. Â Looks like it was a lot of fun! Â Kendall had a splash day today, always exciting for her. Â Tonight we took the kids to see the new Disney/Pixar movie, Inside Out! Â After months of hype, we had our hopes up–and, we weren’t disappointed! Â Lots of funny...
