Halloween
Boo! It’s, finally, Halloween! The kids have been asking about it since spring and it’s here! This one is going to be a little different as Alison has to start-out on her trip to Brno, Czech Republic before Trick-or-Treating time. Alison hated to have to miss it, but luckily she was able to be there for the Red Hat Family Halloween Party and the Goddard Trunk-or-Treating celebration. But, we’ll get back to that in a moment. The day started out fairly normal with Kendall...

Happy birthday to me! Tonight we shared the surprise cake that Brian decorated, and some chocolate-dipped fruit that Brandon gave me as well. I did end up ordering a couple of those emoji pillows like I’d seen in Vegas–one is a gift that I won’t reveal yet, but the “embarrassed/nervous laugh” is my soul emoji, the one I use the most. 😅 (See, I’m embarrassed/laughing just admitting...

This made the kids a bit rambunctious, and the lights and crowds made the whole experience a bit crazy. Everyone was hot and stressed out! Kendall took antsy to a whole new level. Hope something turns out, anyway–these are for our holiday card, after all. 😉 This afternoon we went to the farmer’s...

This morning we made muffins! Our favorite, lemon poppyseed. (This mix is hard to find at our grocery store, thanks to Nana for finding and bringing us boxes of it!) The kids made Halloween decorations in the afternooon. Kendall played in the Tinkerbell costume I’d gotten her at a consignment sale many moons ago, and dressed her bear up as Tinkerbell, too! So adorable. She kept the costume on, as she played with the power tools and take-apart truck, and even when she played catch...
