Creativity Abounds!

Gotta love the creativity of these kids. However, we need an additional house just to hold all of the creative output! Ignoring that for a moment, let’s see what the kids did today! First, we had an outing to the latest Lowe’s Build and Grow event! This Saturday, Brian built the “Science Lab 2.0”. It included a beaker and flask that he did NOT have to build. This build also included cards that could be used to perform experiments at home! Science is fun kids! Even...

Defy Gravity!

Thanks to the generous support of friends and family to fund Brian’s “Rootin’ Tootin'” fundraiser for Root Elementary School, he was able to take a free trip to Defy Gravity for bouncing and a pizza party! He missed out the previous year due to his unfortunate arm injury around Halloween that also prevented him from skating for a few weeks. But this year he would not miss out and would have a BLAST! Although these trampoline places (much like inflatable places) put...

Sunday Playtime

Yay for a lazy Sunday at home!  The kids were very happy to have their pumpkin donuts that Nana brought with breakfast.  We stayed in our PJs extra long, and played puzzles, made patterns with the rainbow blocks that Nana brought, and Kendall even made a colorful button bandolier.  It started out as a necklace, but she wore it like Chewbacca, and even made a few Chewie sounds,...

Goddard Party, Hockey, Playhouse, Ponies

Another busy weekend! A day after Halloween, The Goddard School hosted a Halloween Trick-or-Teat themed Open House. Couldn’t pass that up, so Brandon and the Kids headed over to enjoy building with Lincoln Logs, making arts & crafts, pumpkin bowling, corn pit, and temporary tattoos. Brian was in street clothes, but Kendall was back in her Buttercup Fairy outfit and was the star of the party. So many people asked to get photos of her! Back at home, Brian painted a pumpkin, and...

Halloween!

It’s Halloween!  Still one of my favorite holidays, even if I’m not doing the dressing up anymore. 😉  Lucky for us, Halloween is a big deal at Red Hat and we always have one of our excellent parties.  This year, they really pulled out the stops and had “haunted” elevators in the morning when we arrived, with decorations, sound effects, even including staff dressed up like creepy operators that took us to to our “final destination“–mwa-ha-ha!!!  They...

Red Hat Halloween Party

Tonight was the annual Red Hat family Halloween party!  Brandon brought the kids to the tower and we got them ready to head inside.  They look pretty fantastic, don’t they?  Brian makes a fierce Viking, and Kendall makes the most beautiful buttercup fairy!  Once we were ready, we headed in for the main event, and a wild time was had by all.  It’s fairly chaotic and crowded, but the kids had fun playing silly carnival games, getting candy and prizes, and taking a tour through the...
